Software Development & Implementation

The management of the design, development and implementation of ASX Perpetual Registrars Ltd's  core share registry database and management system (oscarTM). With a budget of over $30m, the project was high profile through the press and was complicated by legal hurdles. There was a definitive time frame for delivery, which was met, ensuring the continuation and viability of the business. The project included the migration of 180 clients with over 8 million shareholders’ details and history. We also managed the Change Management, Learning (design, development and delivery), and Business Testing. The project team ranged from 20 to 60 contractors and staff ramping up during migration weekends.

IPO Project Management (Telstra2 Float)

The management of the Sydney processing centre for application processing for the second Telstra Share Float. This incorporated the scanning, verification and processing of over 250,000 application forms over a 3 week period while similar processing occurring in Melbourne. We then assisted in the reconciliation, cleanup and final allocation of the float.

SAP Implementation - Organisational Change Management

With the implementation of SAP an organisation will need to make extensive changes to the organisation, its structure, its culture and its staff.  Through the mentoring of the George Weston Foods' (GWF) business implementation teams, the required changes were identified, plans development and implemented to minimise the disruption to the business.  Not only were the divisions of GWF left with a new software system but also with the skills to manage future major changes require in the organisation.

Computer Based Training Development

These projects were in conjunction with a strategic partner for developing a CBT system to assist the companies in reducing their induction and system training. The work included the documentation (including flowcharting) all business processes and procedures and including these in a consolidated training system.

Customer Communications & Product Consolidation

St George Bank required the development and implementation of new marketing materials in all branches due to all their customers being migrated to a new software platform.  The number of deposit products was being rationalised to fit onto the one computer platform.  This required all retail documentation to be changed to meet the rationalisation.  The changeover of branch documentation had to occur over a single weekend throughout Australia.

Business Startups

Assisted TableAct Australia (importer of Christofle silverware)  set up a retail and wholesale business for imported luxury household goods. It included the development and implementation of business plans and establishing communication links with an overseas manufacturer/distributor. We also assisted in establishing Australian clients with trading terms and ordering and delivery processes.

Internet Strategy Implementation

This work included the procurement of hardware and ISP for a medium size firm establishing an Internet email/communication solution with its clients and suppliers. The final solution also provides the platform for future expansion of the company’s own B2B website.
