Accomplish's Project Management Methodology has three foundations:

People Focused Project Management

Organisations have seen strategic projects fail to meet one, if not all three, of the critical success factors of a project – on time, on budget and of the required quality. Effective project management is required to achieve these success factors.

Accomplish’s People Focused Project Management methodology is built around the internationally recognised Project Management Book of Knowledge. It is a hands-on approach which has been fine tuned as a result of working on a diverse number of projects.

It is possible to manage a project to completion and not achieve the business benefits expected. This is primarily due to a lack of communication between the stakeholders in the project.  Through Accomplish’s People Focused Project Management methodology we ensure that productive communication is conducted between the project and its multiple stakeholders.  This ensures the misunderstanding shown below is avoided.

Major business projects affect both the organisation and individuals. It is important to not only manage the communication within the project team, but to also manage the changes and impacts to the organisation as a whole and each individual within the organisation.

Managing Organisational Change 

How many times does it occur that an organisation starts a major project and there is a struggle between the organisation and the project that resembles the effect of pushing the positive end of two magnets together? No matter how hard you push they will not join together.

For any project to be truly successful, a synergy between the project, the project outcomes, the business benefits and the organisation must be achieved. Accomplish’s People Focused Project Management methodology prepares the organisation for the arrival of the project deliverables. It identifies the gaps between where the organisation is and where it needs to be when the project solution is delivered. We develop and implement plans to help move the client organisation and its people to a position where the project and the organisation are seamlessly one.

Organisational Change and the Individual

Whenever a major project occurs in an organisation, it affects individuals. When faced with change people move through a number of stages until they become comfortable with the new environment. Each staff member who is impacted by the change can either be a champion of the change, an agitator against the change or somewhere in between.


The process used in Accomplish’s People Focused Project Management methodology moves as many staff as possible to the champion end of the scale. However there will be the few who will resist the change no matter what. The methodology assists in identifying these individuals as early as possible. The tools used will identify the resistors no matter what unexpected quarters they may appear from. It is also important to realise that some people will swing between supporting and resisting the change, depending on what new information they have just received.
